My interest in the Honda Prelude Type SH was piqued when Road and Track named it the best handing car under $25,000. I liked this car from the first moment I drove it - the fluid handling, the crystalline shape, the no-nosense interior, the 8000 RPM redline, the buttery five-speed and especially the ingenuity of the automatic torque transfer system (ATTS). In order to make the car my own I planned a series of modifications, but in the end I only modified it slightly as the more time I spent driving it, the more I found the wisdom in the design. Although I always had intentions to race, my fondest memories were driving on a cool summer's night on a empty road enjoying the desert air with my moonroof open hearing the engine purr. I feel that this has been a car that has grown with me, and although I no longer drive I don't feel like I've out-grown my Prelude.
