After a couple of years of riding vintage hand-brazed steel bikes I wanted a thoroughly modern, no-comprimses road bike. I had initially wanted a carbon-fiber Trek Y-Foil however after seeing far too many Y-Foils with cracks in the frame, I started shopping for a titanium bike. I eventually found this Bianchi Titanium Reparto Corse on ebay and was completely enamored at it's simple, unpainted elegance. My searches only yielded information about the "Bianchi S9 Matta Titanium" but I figured that Bianchi has never made a bad Reparto Course and decided to get it no matter what the cost. The hodgepodge of parts already installed on it weren't bad (Campagnolo Record/Chorus/Daytona), however it was clear that the pervious owner installed them without thought or care so I decided to rebuild it with parts more suitable to such a nice frame. I guess it's not surprising, but a thoroughly modern no-comprimises titanium road bike rides very much like a vintage hand-brazed steel road bike and I believe that is a testament to both eras.
